1). The right to use youth hostels is granted to school and university youth, teachers, educators, and members of the Polish Youth Hostel Association, as well as foreign nationals belonging to their native Youth Hostel Associations. If there are available places, other individuals may also use the hostel, provided they comply with the applicable regulations.
2). Organized groups (comprising at least 5 people) must make reservations for overnight stays in writing by sending an order via post, fax, or email. The order must include: the full name and address of the group leader, the number and gender of participants, the name and address of the school (university) or organization, the duration of the stay at the hostel, and the date and time of arrival. Once the reservation is confirmed with the determined prepayment amount (up to 30% of accommodation costs) and deadline, the organizer or group leader must send the payment via postal transfer to the hostel’s provided address or bank account. A refund of the prepayment can only occur in cases of exceptionally important and documented reasons recognized by the director/manager of the hostel, with a deduction of costs already incurred by the hostel. In case of a dispute, the matter of prepayment refund will be finally decided by local government authorities, or, for PTSM youth hostels, by the relevant Regional Board of PTSM. If the prepayment is not received 10 days prior to the group’s arrival, the director/manager of the hostel may cancel the reservation. Group orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to school and university youth groups.
3). Individual tourists may make reservations by phone or are accommodated directly at the hostel if there are available places, with priority given to school and university youth.
4). School youth under the age of 18 may be accommodated in the hostel only upon presenting a reservation (including address and contact phone number) signed by their parents or legal guardians.
5). Group tours and individual tourists, in special cases and when possible, may be allowed to use the hostel for daytime stays for an agreed fee.
6). Arrivals at the hostel (which should take place between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM) are recorded in the hostel’s registration book in accordance with the applicable legal regulations. Guests are required to pay the due fees as per the price list displayed prominently in the hostel.
7). The maximum stay at the hostel is 3 consecutive nights, unless there are available places and the director/manager grants permission for a longer stay.
8). Male and female guests are accommodated in separate rooms, as designated by the hostel staff.
9). Persons who have suffered from an infectious disease may not use the hostel during their quarantine period.
10). The group leader and supervisors are required to stay overnight at the hostel together with participants. Otherwise, the group will not be admitted to the hostel.
11). Guests staying overnight at the hostel, if they opt not to use the hostel’s bedding, must bring their own bed linen (2 sheets and a pillowcase) or a sleeping bag liner.
12). Guests must prepare their beds for sleeping before 9:00 PM so that hostel staff can check whether all have bed linen or sleeping bags. Without bed linen, staying overnight is not allowed.
13). Quiet hours are in effect at the hostel from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Guests arriving late or leaving very early must not disturb the rest of others. Exceptions to quiet hours are allowed only in special cases with the consent of the director/manager of the hostel.
14). Guests are required to make their beds and clean their sleeping quarters before leaving the hostel for the day.
15). Sleeping quarters are off-limits from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Exceptions to this rule are allowed only during inclement weather and in hostels without a common room or dining area.
16). Meal preparation is allowed only at times and in places designated by the director/manager of the hostel. After meals, guests must wash the kitchenware and thoroughly clean the kitchen.
17). All damage to hostel property must be reported to the director/manager, who will determine the amount of compensation.
18). Guests must maintain neat attire and behave calmly and courteously. Consuming alcohol, using drugs, and engaging in gambling are strictly prohibited.
19). Smoking is prohibited in the sleeping quarters; smoking is only allowed in areas designated by the director/manager of the hostel.
20). In case of a violation of hostel regulations or inappropriate behavior, the director/manager is authorized to confiscate the offender’s ID card (student, membership, or similar) and expel them from the hostel while notifying the relevant school, university, organization, parents, or legal guardians.
21). Guests may enter any positive or negative feedback into the hostel’s guestbook or, in significant cases, address it to the appropriate territorial local government authority or PTSM branch management.
22) . In all matters not covered by the regulations, concerning hostel operations such as order maintenance, property protection, and observance of cultural standards, guests must follow the instructions of the director/manager of the hostel.
